Frequently Asked Questions

Some questions we get asked the most

Are these real brokerage accounts?

During the assessment and during the small time period in the sim-brokerage, all trading is simulated but is based on live market conditions.

After that, yes, all traders move to one of our fully regulated live brokerage accounts where all capital is real.

Is The Futures Desk a broker?

No, we are not a broker. But we use ONLY regulated FCMs who pass stringent compliance by the NFA and CFTC (Dorman/Plus500).

Do my payouts come from simulated trading?

No! We do not allow payouts from simulated funds. This keeps us on your side and allows to not have any strange payout rules once funded.

All capital earned is backed by real capital, so there is never a worry about how much you can make.

How many days until I can get uncapped payouts?

The bare minimum to get into a brokerage account and start getting uncapped daily payouts is six days.

Can I really request a payout daily?

Yes, we can usually process payouts the same day if requested prior to 11AM, Monday-Friday.

All payouts are made using Riseworks.

Which countries are supported?

While we strive to offer our services to everyone, our partners (brokerages and payout services) have their own restrictions we have to abide by, in addition to sanctions of course.

Countries we cannot service at this time: Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Balkans, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Burma, Burundi, Central African Republic, Congo-Brazzaville, Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Crimea Region of Ukraine, Croatia, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Guam, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Jamaica, Kenya, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Macedonia, Mali, Monaco, Montenegro, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nicaragua, Nigeria, North Korea (Democratic People's Republic of Korea), Pakistan, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan and Darfur, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago, US Virgin Islands, Venezuela, Vietnam, Yemen, Yugoslavia, Zimbabwe

I see a lot of "Direct to Funded" competitors, is that what this is?

No, we are not direct-to-funded and neither are they.

The "direct to funded" model is misleading. They usually have heavily capped payouts for at least 1 to 2 months and consistency rules for each payout. You are essentially required to do an evaluation for months at a higher price.

Once you are funded with us, we have no payout caps, no consistency, no minimum days — what a modern proprietary trading company should have.

How many accounts can I get at the same time?

You can have a max of 2 accounts per trader.

Am I risking my own capital when I'm funded?

No, you are trading our capital, not yours. You will be given power-of-attorney permission to trade our sub-accounts and we pay you as a contractor based on your performance.

Why is there so much buzz around The Futures Desk?

We are not new to running prop firms and our reputation to innovate for traders in a space with so many scams and misleading marketing are wasting a lot of traders time and money.

That's not fair. We have always refused to be a part of that.

Trading is hard and those trying to get involved should expect the quality of service and tools from their prop firm to have a chance to succeed.

That's who we were, are, and always will be.

The Assessment Desk® evaluation program has a historically low candidate pass rate, estimated at 25%. This reflects the challenging nature of the simulation, designed to replicate real-world trading conditions. Even experienced traders find the Assessment Desk demanding. We therefore do not recommend it for individuals with limited trading experience.

To ensure fair and compliant trading practices, all activity within the Assessment Desk is monitored by our Risk and Compliance Team. Any behavior deemed to be Prohibited Conduct, including but not limited to gambling or exploiting the simulated environment, will be subject to review and potential action.

If The Futures Desk identifies trading activity that, in its sole discretion, violates our Prohibited Conduct policies, we reserve the right to delete the trading day and all associated profits, restart the account, or close the account. In cases of repeat violations, The Futures Desk may ban the trader from accessing all or part of the Site and Services.

All content published and distributed by The Futures Desk LLC and its affiliates (collectively, the “Company”) is for informational purposes only and does not constitute investment advice. The Company's information should not be interpreted as an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security, nor as a recommendation, endorsement, or sponsorship of any specific investment. Testimonials featured on our websites may not represent the experiences of all clients and do not guarantee future performance or success.

Use of information provided by the Company is at your own risk. The Company, its partners, representatives, agents, employees, and contractors disclaim any responsibility or liability for any losses or damages arising from the use or misuse of such information.

Futures trading involves substantial risk and is not suitable for all investors. You could lose all or more than your initial investment. Only risk capital—that is, funds you can afford to lose without jeopardizing your financial security or lifestyle—should be used for trading.

CFTC Rule 4.41

Hypothetical or simulated performance results have inherent limitations. They do not reflect actual trading and may not fully account for market factors such as limited liquidity. Additionally, simulated trading programs often benefit from hindsight.

Therefore, past simulated performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown.
